Company Policy for Occupational Health and Safety Management

Company Policy

The Corporate Management of CILIA ITALIA srl, operating both in the management of local public transport (TPL) and private transport, promotes a culture of Quality, believing that the quality of the company’s achievements can only be reached through the commitment of all those who work in and for the company. This is aimed at improving the organization itself and, in perspective, reducing the costs of non-quality.

Furthermore, it considers the promotion of Health and Safety at work as an essential part of its duties, and the results achieved in the prevention of accidents and risk reduction as an integral part of the company’s outcomes. It is also aware that the company’s success is closely connected to achieving and continuously improving a high standard in the field of Environmental safeguard and the Health of the community where it operates.

For these reasons, CILIA ITALIA srl has decided to voluntarily adopt a Workplace Safety Management System (SGSL) according to UNI INAIL guidelines, intending to ensure that:

  • the product made can meet all mandatory prescriptions and the contractual requirements of its Customers;
  • identified risks are assessed with the goal of preventing and/or limiting events;
  • sensitive aspects are identified and examined with the goal of preventing and/or limiting impacts.

With the introduction of the aforementioned Management System, the Corporate Management intends to define the principles of action and the results to aim for in order to eliminate non-conformities, committing the organization to identify, evaluate, and keep under control, within the activities carried out by the Company, the causes over which it can exert an influence and, where this is not possible, aim to minimize the effects, activating corrective actions. To this end, and in the perspective of continuous improvement of prevention, the Corporate Management commits to periodically review the Management System and this policy, providing adequate visibility within the company.

The Corporate Management of CILIA ITALIA srl considers the effective application of the Management System a responsibility of the entire organization and calls all personnel at every level and grade to comply with its Policy and observe what is defined in the Management System, within their respective competences and responsibilities, considering, among other things, that the QUALITY of the product, the SAFETY of workers, and the protection of the ENVIRONMENT is achieved by those who execute and not by those who control.

Company Policy for Occupational Safety Management

With the introduction of the UNI INAIL SGSL Management System and considering the protection of workers’ health and safety as an essential objective to be achieved and continuously improved, the Corporate Management defines the following safety policy principles it aims to achieve:

  • act in compliance with all laws and regulations, adopting all necessary prevention measures to safeguard the health and safety of workers;
  • provide full cooperation to local communities and competent bodies, ensuring complete transparency in information and communication to the outside;
  • implement the consultation and participation of workers, also through their representatives, and interested parties, particularly subcontractors, in all sectors of health and safety at work;
  • require all employees, each within their respective duties and competences, to operate taking care of their own health and safety and that of other involved persons;
  • involve third-party companies called to operate for the Company, to share the same criteria for health and safety protection defined in this policy.

To pursue these objectives, the Corporate Management commits to:

  • use specialist advice from consultants, particularly the RSPP and the Competent Doctor, to periodically monitor the application of laws and regulations, integrating them with systematic evaluations made by supervisors, to limit the risks of events and reports/penalties by supervisory bodies;
  • periodically examine the Safety Management System (procedures, instructions, etc.), revising it following new legislative obligations or analysis of accident events and not, with the aim of providing all employees with constantly updated information and control tools to prevent events;
  • promote information and training for all personnel on health and safety in relation to the characteristics of the workplaces, their activities, and this policy, with the aim of involving them in prevention and safeguarding their health and safety and others;
  • adopt evaluation criteria of the organization that intervene on health and safety requirements, namely the organization’s ability to constantly self-assess, applying prevention requirements;

The dissemination of the Company Policy is carried out through posting on the notice board.
